Diabetes New Zealand
[February 2002] Diabetes NZ has an attractive and fast-loading website which is full of detailed information about diabetes for those who have it and those who just want to know about it.
There's more than one kind of diabetes and good plain language explanations clarify the differences. You can read the checklist to see if you're at risk and you can find out in detail about the effects of diabetes on your body.
At this website you can find out about complications or testing, managing diabetes, medication, diabetes and driving and a great deal more.
Many publications are available online, in a choice of formats, including rtf, Word and Acrobat Reader files. Most people should be able to find a format which suits them.
If you don't have Javascript enabled on your browser you'll need to go to the Sitemap to find much of the information, but there is a Sitemap button clearly placed on each page, and a helpful First Time section to explain how the website works, where to find things and so on.
And by the way - the recipes look great!
