RAPID – A new volunteer management training package
The Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management (MCDEM) has published a comprehensive training package for volunteer managers. Though the context for this training package is civil defence emergency management, it offers useful guidance for a broader range of other volunteer managers.
The training package, which covers two unit standards, is a self-paced distance programme that uses e-Learning as the main delivery mechanism.
The e-Learning modules are all freely available on the Civil Defence website.
The assessment materials and trainer information is also available on DVD.
