New not-for-profit IT advisory organisation launched

Dale Jennings Associates Ltd. (DJA) is a new IT advisory consultancy that aims to support non-technical leaders with IT governance and budget responsibilities.

The company is a not-for-profit organisation that doesn’t sell IT equipment, software or telephony. Nor does it fix or maintain anything. Instead DJA offers on-demand, affordable consultancy that is truly independent.

  • Independent of the vendors and suppliers
  • Independent of the technology – no devotion to Apple or Microsoft
  • Independent of your IT team – no job protection or need for new toys
  • Independent of your organisation – no sacred cows or emotional blind spots.

DJA’s first community sector activity was a business continuity workshop offered at both the Wellington and Auckland Connecting Up 2011 events in May 2011.

This was an abridged version of our three-hour public workshop for non-technical managers.

DJA offers advices at several levels:

  • Free generic advice through our website: www.dalejennings.co.nz and through Twitter: @hazeldjay.
  • Half-day workshops either as public sessions or dedicated in-house events
  • Fixed-price, outcome-defined consultancy.
  • The founder and executive director of DJA is Hazel Jennings, a certified IT professional of 30 years standing who is a trustee of the 2020 Communication’s Trust, a national councillor of the New Zealand Computer Society and Chair of the Auckland Not For Profit IT Forum.
