Connecting Up NZ 2011

There is now a burgeoning appetite for ICT knowledge and skills in the New Zealand community and nonprofit sector. Organisations work with technology daily and are increasingly open to finding new and better ways to use it more effectively and cheaply.

Connecting Up NZ 2011 is a one-day conference in both Wellington and Auckland designed for the community and nonprofit sector decision makers and leaders.

Your attendance at this major technology event will allow you a rare opportunity to gain ICT knowledge, experience, and learn about the successes and failures of others in using information & communications technology.

You’ll be put you in touch with thought leaders and decision makers from nonprofit and community organisations around New Zealand and the USA.

You’ll make links with organisations and people working in, for and with the sector who, like you, are often too busy to take time out to learn about the challenges of improved ICT usage.

We’ve also lined up two amazing international nonprofit technology leaders as keynotes speakers from the USA to share their thinking with us.

Holly Ross of NTEN and Allen ‘Gunner’ Gunn from AspirationTech will show us how we can better embrace technological change and lead our organisations through it—with things such as cloud computing, and social media.

Learn about how to Move your organisation’s ICT capacity, Shift your fundraising online, Alt(er) your perception of online tools, Refresh your ICT knowledge, Insert social media into your everyday communications, and so on.

There’ll be workshops on how to write web text that works, how to give your website some TLC, the low-down on business continuity planning, what a virtual server environment means for your organisation, how others have tried and succeeded with using ICT successfully in their organisations.
