Unitec Short Courses 2011
Unitec provides a interactive and stimulating ‘Managing to Make a Difference’ series in many centres around the country, which will improve your skills in funding and related activities in not-for-profit organisations.
Managing to Make a Difference courses
These short courses will:
- Update you in the latest not-for-profit management thinking and practice
- Provide you wiht tools and frameworks that will make a difference in your organisation tomorrow
- Provide you with valuable opportunities to network and share your practice with others.
The courses are for managers, board members, paid staff, and volunteers of not-for-profit organisations, local and central government officials, iwi, business and community leaders, and social service and health based organisations.
You will receive a Unitec certificate after completion of the course.
Community Funding course
This course will improve your skills in developing funding strategies for your organisation that focus on long-term survival and success. By the end of the course, participants will be able to discuss ways to develop effective and healthy relationships with funders, identify sources of funds for community based organisations, and identify ways to develop funding strategies appropriate for their own organisation.
