Research confirms family diversity

A new report shows how much New Zealand families have changed in recent decades.

The full Report of Raising Children in New Zealand: Patterns of Family Formation and Change in New Zealand (December 2004) is available on line.

The report was commissioned by the Ministry of Social Development from the Population Studies Centre, University of Waikato.

The Report is based on a 1995 survey of New Zealand women, with additional information from a survey in 2001.
