Community Toolbox

The Community Toolbox website has been developed for community health practitioners in the United States, but it has a wide range of tools and resources that are applicable to campaigns and advocacy situations in New Zealand. The following is a selection of the resources available.

Assessing community needs and resources: finding out what your community needs, what assets you have, doing a SWOT analysis to find your community's strengths and weaknesses.
Analysing community problems and solutions: critical thinking, working out the root cause of a problem, choosing solutions.
Using advocacy as part of a campaign: what is advocacy? Survival skills for advocates, identifying allies and opponents and how to work with them.
