Guidance for charities

A major function of the Charities Commission is to provide charitable organisations with guidance. Their guidance comes in two different forms: guidance for the registration process under the Charities Act, and (in the future), guidance on good practice and governance.

The Commission's website has a section devoted to providing guidance to charitable organisations.

The section features a list of the practical information currently available. The Registration guidelines page is a good place to start for specific information about the registration process, including a Registration Information Pack.
