1. What are the Community Sector Taskforce forums about?

  1. To inform you of the work of the Taskforce & Te Wero.
  2. To provide you the opportunity for input into decisions that need to be made.
     

2.  What's in it for me?

By being there you can have your say

  1. You will get to provide input on the ideas the Taskforce have drafted on a sector declaration and national leadership model.
  2. You will get to be one of the many voices that contribute to the future strategic direction of the sector.
  3. You will get to have a say on how the work continues, including who will be involved.
     

3. What difference will it make if I go?

When you attend the forums you will be providing your valuable knowledge on what is real, for the sector that you know and understand. It is very important that we have comprehensive input from a wide range of people who truly represent our sector.
 

4. Who are the Community Sector Taskforce (CST)?

The Community Sector Taskforce is a team of people selected to progress the projects that were identified through the 'strengthening the sectors' forums held in 2002. Taskforce members are all people who work in the community and voluntary sector. Their backgrounds ensure they appreciate the diversity of and differences in the sector.
 

5.  How is Te Wero connected with the Taskforce?

Te Wero - Maori action group, were appointed and have a number of specific projects to complete. They also work alongside the Taskforce, helping to work within a treaty-based relationship.
 

6. Is this a government thing?

No, this is not run by the government. The Taskforce and the work that is being done is a part of an initiative that has been funded by the government but requested by the sector. The government have no say in what is done, the sector has been making those decisions.
