The Charities Commission was established by an Act of Parliament - the Charities Act 2005. It is an autonomous Crown Entity (ACE). The Commission is made up a governing Board, Chief Executive and staff. The Minister responsible for the Commission is the Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector. |
