Teen Parent Intensive Case Worker
Thrive Teen Parent Support Trust is an organisation that was developed in response to the voices of teen parent families in Auckland.
We are currently seeking an experienced social worker with a real passion for working
with youth to improve outcomes for teenage parents and their children in Auckland Central. Applicants must have a social work degree and have current registration with the Social Worker Registration Board.
Core tasks -
• Case management for 12-15 teen parents and their children
• As part of the Thrive Teen Parent Support Trust Team provide:
- Inter-agency coordination and relationship building
- Advocacy for teen parents
The successful candidate will have great communication skills which will enable them to relate effectively to young parents their whanau, volunteers and other professionals. Ideally, you will already have strong networks and relationships in the community along with a thorough understanding of the principles of youth development.
You will need to be flexible in your approach to your working hours and access to your own transport is essential.
The position is a full-time (40 hours) position and there is a requirement for occasional weekend work.
We will be interviewing on 7th and 8th February 2012.
