Jude McNabb joins CommunityNet Advisory Group

CommunityNet Aotearoa Advisory Group and Department of Internal Affairs,

We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new community member to the CommunityNet Advisory Group: Jude McNabb, Manager, Volunteer Nelson, Nelson.

The Advisory Group guides the direction and management of the CommunityNet Aotearoa website. Jude brings a breadth of knowledge and representation to the Advisory Group, ensuring the group continues to be strong and balanced.

The Department is confident the group will contribute significantly to CommunityNet Aotearoa's continued success.

The newly appointed member joins:

• David Henderson, ANGOA (Association of NGOs of Aotearoa), Wellington
• Eru Thompson, Te Atamira Taiwhenua Tuahiwi
• Julia Stuart, Churches' Agency on Social Issues, Wellington
• Moana Tane, Te Roroa, Ngati Hine, National Training Manager Te Hotu Manawa Maori, Auckland
• Peter Sykes, Mangere East Family Service Centre, Mangere East
• Tiso Fiaola, PICAG, and Economic Development Projects Officer, South Waikato District Council, Hamilton
• Shona Kapea-Maslin, Pou Whakahaere, Piki Ora House, Gore

The Advisory Group meets three to four times each year in Wellington for a full day meeting. Planned meeting dates for 2008 are: 1 May, 14 August and 13 November. Meetings are open to all, with prior notice of attendance needed.
