Help wanted with school Holocaust Day button collection

Moriah School,

Moriah College in Wellington has started a Holocaust Day button collection - we are trying to collect one button for every child who died in the holocaust. This means we need to collect 1.5 million buttons. That's a lot of buttons!

The idea is to help the children visualise the enormity of the holocaust. Such big numbers are hard to comprehend, until you try to make it real. Each time we put buttons in the jar we talk about how important it is to remember the holocaust to ensure it never happens again.

So far we have 1096 buttons - its going to take a huge effort but we would like to get to 1.5 million by May 1, 2009 - next Holocaust Day.

Any help you can give us is most appreciated - every button counts! Our address is PO Box 6384, Marion Square, Wellington. Many thanks to anyone out there who can support this cause with a button or two.
