Presbyterian Support Northern, Whangarei, Auckland, Manukau, Waitakere, Hamilton, Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga and Whakatane
Presbyterian Support Northern (PSN) has rebranded its child and family services division from James family™ to Family Works Northern as part of a national initiative to help increase the profile of its work.
In making the change the not-for-profit organisation joins the six other Presbyterian Support regions in New Zealand in adopting the new national brand for their child and family services.
Presbyterian Support Northern CEO Winsome Stretch says having a national identity will provide numerous benefits but will not change PSN's work with children and families.
"Our services and programmes for children / tamariki and their families / whanau and our strengths-based approach remain unchanged under the new Family Works Northern brand. We remain committed to helping our clients make positive and lasting differences in their lives and will continue to develop and deliver innovative, quality services tailored to meet the needs of our local communities," she says.
Ms Stretch says the new national brand and increased collaboration better positions Presbyterian Support for achieving greater recognition for its work and for fundraising and promotional activity — critical for the future of the service and to ensure those who need help know where to find it.
"While we will all continue to operate autonomously, we are committed to working together to achieve more, to sharing ideas and innovation and to advocating on behalf of children and families.
"We are also united in our belief that every child / tamariki and family / whanau deserves a decent chance; that every family / whanau has strengths but now and again needs help; that every family / whanau will flourish when helped to build on their strengths; and that New Zealand will be better off when children / tamariki are raised in flourishing families / whanau."
