Community facilities funding

Lottery Grants Board, National

A significant increase in lottery profits has enabled the New Zealand Lottery Grants Board to set aside over $8 million to reintroduce community facilities funding in 2007-08.

The Lottery Community Facilities Fund will support a wide range of projects to build or improve community facilities where community members can meet and interact in ways that strengthen the community.

Administered by the Department of Internal Affairs, Lottery Grants Board funding is generated from lottery profits run by NZ Lotteries. Profits are transferred to the Lottery Grants Board and flow on to directly benefit the community.

Detailed information and application material about the reintroduced Lottery Community Facilities Fund will be available from April 2007.
