Cancer Society, National
The Cancer Society has revamped its website to make it more user friendly and easier for users to find information about different aspects of the Society's work. The website is used in many different ways by people who are affected by cancer, such as to know more about the specific cancer they or a member of their family has; to learn about lifestyle changes to help prevent cancer; or to find out ways to help the Cancer Society.
Because the New Zealand Cancer Society has six autonomous divisions, people can use the website to be linked to a local division's website where they can find about specific services available in their home town. The site also has a chat room where people can talk about their experiences with cancer, ask questions and find out how other people have coped with illness or loss. The website address is www.cancernz.org.nz .
