Keeping It Legal E AI KI TE TURE launched

New Zealand Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations and The Office for the Community and Voluntary Sector, National

5th December 2005.

The 'Keeping It Legal' resource was launched today by the Hon Winnie Laban, Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector, during International Volunteer Day.

Keeping it Legal E AI KI TE TURE aims to fill the need of community and voluntary organisations, groups, trusts and societies to know about and manage their legal obligations. Considerable research and testing of what organisations need has resulted in a useful and practical set of documents.

There are four brochures covering different legal areas, each including a series of checklists. These are each backed up with factsheets with more jargon-free detail, for specific circumstances.

There is also a 'How to use' guide, which is a good starting point.

'Keeping It Legal' was developed by the New Zealand Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations and The Office for the Community and Voluntary Sector, with input and assistance from the Wellington Community Law Centre and others.
