I'm looking for a broad cross-section of people who are working, volunteering or taking part in community activities to participate in a survey as part of my research! The research looks at how New Zealanders use computers and the Internet to take part in and influence the democratic processes in our communities.
The survey will only take you about 20 minutes to complete and can be done online. If you live in New Zealand and are over 18, all you need to do is visit this website: www.edemocracy.co.nz.
Please complete the survey by the end of December.
This research is part of a PhD at Central Queensland University. It is aimed at learning about how people and communities are using technology (or what stops them using it) to promote issues in their own community, to publish their own views and opinions and to connect with other communities, local government and central government.
If you would like to participate but prefer to complete a paper-based survey. It can be downloaded from the above website or you can contact me on 09 817 1133 or by email at andy@wairua.co.nz and I will send you a copy, along with a postage-paid envelope.
Your support for this research will be greatly appreciated. I would also appreciate it you could distribute this email to your networks!
Kind regards
Andy Williamson
