Website homepage refresh
In 2006, the Homepage design and standard navigation design of CommunityNet Aotearoa was revised to make finding information easier, especially for new visitors, and to incorporate suggestions and feedback. The site architecture and content was not altered. This page shows the progression of the redesign work.
NOTES: All these mockups are in JPG format, and filesizes are large - mostly 4-500 KB. When implemented, the actual pages will load around 10 times faster.
Use Browser Back button to return after viewing each one.
If the image is not showing full size in Internet Explorer, go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Multimedia and unclick 'Enable Automatic Image resizing'.

Third versions 14th June
Homepage
This version has colours changed for increased readability. As we are using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) it will be very easy to modify the colours if we decide these are too stark.

The dotted redline shows the bottom of a small (600x800) screen before scrolling.

Slower but more interesting

Optional dropdown navigation
The dropdown navigation supplements (and does not replace or remove) existing navigation methods. Although shown on Design option 2, it can be applied to either. It is a single level dropdown, as multiple level dropdown/flyouts are less easy to use.
