Any contact or personal information voluntarily provided will be used by the Department of Internal Affairs only for the purpose stated. Contact information will be kept secure, and will not be supplied to any third party nor used for any purpose to which you have not given your consent. From time-to-time we may contact you to check the accuracy of material submitted.
Where information is submitted for publication on the website, such as Classified Ads, Job Vacancies, Event Notices and News Items, it becomes publicly available. Please be careful about including personal contact details, for instance home addresses and phone numbers.
We do not use cookies to collect personal information. Some information, including browser type, apparent geographic location and IP number, is logged and analysed to help in managing the website. A summary of usage is published in Website statistics; this does not include personal information.
All links and references to other websites, organisations or people not associated with CommunityNet Aotearoa are provided for the user's convenience only, and should not be taken as endorsement of those websites, or of the information contained in those websites, nor of organisations or people referred to.
Views expressed on the website reflect those of the page's author, not those of the Department of Internal Affairs.
As a community-owned web site everyone is responsible for accurate content. If you find a mistake or something that shouldn't be there, please Contact Us. Linked website's content may change significantly over time. Please contact us if you find that a website we link to does not meet these standards.
Some time dependent items (e.g. Event notices, Job vacancy advertisements) are automatically removed by the system when they reach their expiry date. Some other items (e.g. news items, Panui, web-tips) may be moved to history files as they age.
'Date added' or 'Date updated' is shown for many pages (e.g. in How-to Guides); please be aware that the 'Date updated' is system generated and may relate to a small change (e.g. the correction of an external link to a page that has moved) and does not imply a major change or review.
Most expired material is not archived or held on line, as information on CommunityNet is advisory rather than definitive, and links to definitive items on other websites. Please Contact Us if you need to access expired material and we will endeavour to help.
We endeavour to make this website accessible and user-friendly, especially for people with disabilities or older computers, and have received an award for success at this. However, for practical reasons some information (particularly that externally supplied, historical, or templates) may not be fully accessible. Please see the Accessibility and Technical specifications pages for more details. Please Contact Us if you cannot access required material and we will endeavour to help.
All the information on the site is provided "as is". You make use of our site at your own risk and we accept no liability for any claims arising from use of our site.
