Community Sector Taskforce logoThe Community Sector Taskforce was set up in 2004 as a result of work by the Community-Government Relationship Steering Group. This group recommended  two community-based groups be set up to develop projects to ensure the community and voluntary sector is informed, connected and able to do its work. The CST held a series of hui which resulted in recommendations back to government in mid 2004. (December 2004 report in 'Background reports'.)

The Taskforce is engaged in several projects, including COmVOiceS, a National Forum and a centre of excellence for community research.

The Community Sector Taskforce website is hosted by the NZFVWO at www.cst.org.nz. The Taskforce can be contacted at communitysectortaskforce@paradise.net.nz
